Accountants surpass law firms in social media race

Those in the legal profession are failing to make as much of an impact on social media as their accountant rivals, a benchmarking survey has found.

Social media: law firms could do more?

The report by Living Ratings – a benchmarker of financial and professional services communications – found that London-based Eversheds was the law firm with the most visible online presence, reports The Lawyer.
However, the firm fell well behind accountancy giants such as Deloitte and Ernst & Young, who bagged the top two spots.
Twitter proved to be the most popular platform for law firms, although the report suggests that firms rely on re-tweets and linked content rather than original posts.
