US Olympic general counsel Rana Dershowitz is moving jobs to work for the Aspen Ski Company. She has been at USOC since 2007 when she joined as Deputy General Counsel. She was promoted to General Counsel, Chief of Legal, Ethics Officer and Corporate Secretary in 2008. Prior to USOC, she worked for six years at Madison Square Garden in New York. Mike Kaplan, president and CEO of Aspen Skiing Company said that Ms Dersowitz's 'experience with the USOC and Madison Square Garden will prove invaluable, but more importantly, her passion for the sport and the lifestyle make her an outstanding choice.' Ms Dershowitz was captain of the ski team at Harvard University.
Networking solutions company Brocade has hired Nell O Donnell as its general counsel. She joins the San Jose headquartered company to oversee the company's global legal department and will report directly to CEO Lloyd Carney. Ms O Donnell has worked in corporate legal departments and law firms, having been SVP and General Counsel at Micromuse and Associate General Counsel at LucasArts.
Gaming programming supplier Machinima has appointed Chris Riley as its general counsel. Mr Riley was previously general counsel at TicketMaster and Match.com and has worked in-house at Disney Interactive. Prior to that he was at US law firms Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and Sidley & Austin.
New York Power Authority has appointed Brown & Weinraub partner Justin Driscoll as its executive vice president and general counsel. Mr Driscoll has previously served as general counsel of the New York State Housing Finance Agency and the State of New York Mortgage Agency.
Mark Millar joins British Motoring association, the AA, as its general counsel and company secretary. The organisation, which became a listed company this year, recruited Mr Millar from Domino's Pizza. Mr Millar previously worked at Allen & Overy and Simmons & Simmons.
