Property developer Paddy McKillen, represented by Herbert Smith Freehills, claimed that he was treated unfairly over business dealings regarding the Berkeley, the Connaught and Claridge's, the Telegraph reports.
The allegations against Sir David and Sir Frederick were thrown out for the first time in August and again by three Appeal Court judges yesterday who refused Mr McKillen permission to take the case to the Supreme Court.
'Will fight on'
Following two years of legal procedures, Mr McKillen’s legal bill amounts to £20m. As reported by the Telegraph, Mr McKillen was cited saying ‘I am disappointed but will continue to fight on’. The billionaire brothers denied misconduct and claimed that the allegations were damaging the Barclay name, according to the report. Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay were represented by Weil Gotshal & Manges and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.
