Gary L Sasso, Carlton Fields’ president and CEO, said the firm had substantial clients, cases, and transactions in California and that opening an office in Los Angeles was a natural progression of its growth. Its class action defence work had been a major driver to open in California, he said. Mr Sasso added the firm anticipated other synergies with California, Florida, and New York, for example, being international hubs with strong financial services, real estate, technology, and health care and life sciences sectors.
