The ongoing round of merger talks between Norton Rose Fulbright and its New York target Chadbourne has stalled whilst the firms sort out potential conflicts. The UK firm issued a statement saying that it was in the process of working to resolve this. If the two firms merge, it will create a firm with $2 billion revenues globally. The NFL merger with 160 partner Australian firm Henry Davis York is going ahead after partners voted to join forces yesterday.

Terminated

Meanwhile merger talks between Addleshaw Goddard and German firm Luther have been terminated with Addleshaws said to be on the lookout for another German firm. The UK firm's tie-up with Scottish firm HBJ Gateley went live this month.
