Tanya Khan, the Association of Corporate Counsel's managing director, Australia and Asia Pacific has told Lawyers Weekly that she is seeing more of this practice. She said: 'It uses the skills of in-house legal to instruct and obtain succinct expert or timely advice or representation at a fee commensurate with the barrister's experience, but generally at a lower cost than if obtained through a law firm.'
