Half of UK law firms win work by social media

Nearly half of the biggest 200 law firms in the UK have won new contracts through their engagement in LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media.

Research from the Byfield Consultancy shows that nearly two-thirds of practices (60%) allocate under 5% of their marketing spends towards social media. Allen & Overy, with about 13,600 followers, leads the Magic Circle firms on Twitter. Other leaders are DLA Piper (with 13,500) and Norton Rose Fulbright (with about 13,000).
