Georg Seyfarth takes up a management role

German law firm Hengeler Mueller has elected Dirk Bliesener (47) and Georg Seyfarth (48) as managing partners from 1 July 2014.The two new managing partners will succeed Daniela Favoccia and Matthias Hentzen, whose term ends as scheduled by rotation after four years in total. Dirk Bliesener and Georg Seyfarth have been partners with Hengeler Mueller since 2002 and 2003, respectively. Georg Seyfarth specializes in corporate law/M&A. Dirk Bliesener mainly advises on banking, finance and capital markets.

In a statement, Daniela Favoccia and Matthias Hentzen said of the new appointments:  “We congratulate Dirk and Georg on their appointment as new managing partners and would like to take this opportunity to thank all our partners for the confidence they have shown to us and for the excellent support we have received in the past few years.”  Hengeler Mueller has offices in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Brussels and London. The 90 partner law  firm is planning  to open an office in Shanghai at the end of 2014.
