UK national law firm Bond Pearce has sponsored a survey of 700 oil and gas organisations working in Scotland to see if they are concerned at the prospect of an independent Scotland. Only 12 per cent say they believe that independence - due to be decided in a referendum in Scotland in September - would have a negative impact on their business. However, some 45 per cent are holding back from making investment decisions at the moment. Bond Dickinson partner Uisdean Vass said that this was ‘absolutely expected’ and that ‘foreign-owned businesses rarely agitate for constitutional change’. Source: Daily Record
