Lear GC explains why legal team is getting smaller

A main reason for having a small in-house team is to allow flexibility in legal spend - a view taken by both Mr Larkin and his predecessor Daniel Ninivaggi. The manufacturer of auto seating and electrical distribution systems has a relatively low volume of litigation.

Going to the experts

Mr Larkin told Bloomberg Business of Law: 'Going to the experts when you need them, and getting the best lawyer for a particular assignment, makes a lot of sense.' Lear has long-standing relationships with Winston & Strawn, Bodman PLC, and Brooks Kushman. Source: Bloomberg Business of Law
