Minter Ellison wins out in patchy economic conditions

Australian firm Minter Ellison has increased its turnover by A$10m - successfully navigating 'current patchy market conditions', according to chief executive Tony Harrington.

Revenue went up from A$418m in financial year 2014 to $428m in financial year 2015. Tony Harrington commented: 'Clients are looking for new solutions. We've responded by doing things differently – being more agile, innovative and bold about our choices and our advice.'

Watershed year

Chair Bruce Cowley said that financial year 2015 could come to be seen as a 'watershed year' for the practice. Minter Ellison increased its recruitment and promotions by 60 per cent on the year before, promoting 12 people to the partnership and making 100 senior hires and promotions. Source: Lawyers Weekly
