PwC hires Ashurst's head of pensions to boost legal practice

The big four accountancy giant has lured Ashurt's head of pensions Marcus Fink to join its pensions team as a director as the firm looks to grow its legal practice.

At PwC Mr Fink will deal with a range of pension issues, with a particular focus on advising organisations and trustees on their investment funding strategies. Mr Fink has some 18 years of experience of advising on pension scheme reorganisations and mergers, deficit reduction strategies and restructurings and on the investment side he has negotiated and overseen derivative and hedging investments as well as implemented asset-backed funding vehicles. He said: ‘I am excited to join PwC's pensions practice and be part of a thriving legal services team, at a time when there is growing demand from organisations and pension fund trustees for advice on a variety of opportunities and challenges.’
