One of Scotland's oldest law firms has gone into administration. Pagan Osborne has shut its doors with Dundee law firm Thorntons taking over its assets and 50 staff. Seventy staff look set to be made redundant and the offices in Edinburgh and St Andrews shut down. Administrators FRP Advisory said it was 'delighted that Thorntons has acquired the assets, goodwill and work-in-progress of Pagan Osborne, thus ensuring continuity of client service, providing employment opportunities and safeguarding client funds.'
