Uncertainty over US$2b Bingham-Morgan Lewis merger votes

A week after the original deadline to decide whether a merger should go ahead between Bingham McCutchen and Morgan Lewis & Bockius there are suggestions that Bingham has voted yes.

Bingham partners have voted in favour, according to The Lawyer. But sources have told the magazine that two partners have held up procedures by asking for more assurances from Morgan Lewis. Regarding the latter, there is no word yet - leaked or official. If it went ahead, the merger would create a top ten firm in the international rankings. Source: The Lawyer
