These are some of the conclusions which emerge from the 2014 report by the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) on the state of technology use in law firms. Only a quarter of surveyed firms are using internal collaboration and social networking tools.
Billable hours
Computer-assisted document reviews and predictive coding systems have not been widely adopted. According to Akron Legal News, this is 'clearly tied into the amount of time, and therefore money, that lawyers/ paralegals spend in document review.
