According to a statement issued from the Rio de Janeiro State Judiciary Department, the judge based his decision on a law that states ‘magazines and publications whose content is improper or inadequate for children and adolescents can only be sold if sealed and with warnings regarding their content.’
The trilogy, by British author EL James, was the top seller in Brazil last year. Fifty Shades Freed was top of the charts, followed by Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker.
