In a statement posted on the web Sunday evening, the company said that its email was online and that other systems were still being restored – five days after the global cyber attack hit, adding that it had seen no evidence that any client data was taken. DLA Piper was one of several firms whose operations were disrupted by this latest ransomware attack. The Global Legal Post reported last week that the attack appeared to have started at the firm's Spanish offices but spread to infiltrate the entire global network of the law firm -  causing it to lockdown all communication systems.
