Not a time for false modesty
Leading lawyers are making pitches to take on leading roles in the consolidated litigation. David Boies, of the 240-lawyer, New York-based Boies, Schiller & Flexner, said: ‘This is an important case, a high-profile case, and you need the very best lawyers. This is not a time for false modesty.’ And Steve Berman, managing partner of 42-lawyer, Seattle-based Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro, who led cases against Toyota in 2010, said: ‘I spent two and a half years of my life dealing with the issues (in Toyota) that we’ll deal with here.’ Sources: CTV News and InAutoNews
