Twin Towers: law firm leads way in downtown rebirth

The firm’s 350 employees – including 200 lawyers – arrived for their first day of work at 7 World Trade Centre yesterday, reports the Am Law Daily.
Wilmer will occupy the five highest floors of the 52-story building which, according to New York office head Charles Platt, will cost ‘substantially less’ than the firm’s previous base at 399 Park Avenue.
Mr Platt added: ‘People are really welcoming it because so much of the focus on New York City is downtown and Brooklyn… Midtown is for tourists. Some people are looking at it as a reflection of the firm, which is very young, dynamic, and embraces change.’
