Data breach disclosures

The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its breach disclosure requirements will come into force from May 2018. PwC’s recent Global CEO Survey shows that CEOs around the world recognise the importance of getting their approach to data protection right - with 91 per cent of global CEOs believing that breaches of data privacy and ethics will have a negative impact on stakeholder trust in the next five years, but many still have a way to go to achieve compliance within the timeframe.

PwC’s Global CEO Survey findings are based on a global research sample of over 1,300 global leaders including 126 UK CEOs. More information can be found here: http://www.pwc.com/gx/en/ceo-agenda/ceosurvey/2017/gb
