The Sussex research shows that premature ageing and illness are effects of regular flying. Issues include being more exposed to germs and to the chances of getting deep vein thrombosis. Stress is also thought to increase. People engaging in this lifestyle are less likely to eat and drink well, according to the University.

National law firms

In conversation with Lawyers Weekly, Mr Gleed said: 'For those who aren't effective delegators or don't have the resourcing within their managing team, then it’s a very exacting lifestyle for them.' In Australia, the problem is more for national law firms whose top partners and flying inter-city on a regular basis than for the global firms. Source: Lawyers Weekly
