US energy infrastructure business Centuri Holdings has hired Danielle Hunter as chief legal and administrative officer, replacing Jason Wilcock in the role.
Hunter was most recently president of upstream energy company Berry Corporation, which she initially joined as general counsel. She brings more than 15 years of public company leadership experience to the role within the energy industry, with expertise spanning corporate strategy, legal, governance, compliance and risk management.
Phoenix-based Centuri is a utility and energy infrastructure services company, helping build and maintain the energy network across the US.
The company also hired Kelly Youngblood to replace Gregory Izenstark as chief financial officer.
Christian Brown, president and CEO of Centuri, said: “Enhancing our leadership is a critical step in our transformation. The appointments of Kelly and Danielle provide the leadership capabilities we need to meet and exceed the expectations we have set for ourselves and deliver the sustained performance our shareholders expect of us.”
Brown added that Hunter’s broad strategic and operational experience, underpinned by strong legal and commercial strengths, is needed to support the company’s growth.
Hunter spent six years at Berry, including three as president, before leaving in December last year when the company merged with California Resources Corporation.
She was previously GC at C&J Energy Services, among other roles, having started her career in private practice at Vinson & Elkins.
She said: “I am excited to be joining Centuri during a time of strategic growth and tremendous opportunity. I look forward to partnering with the Centuri team to realise our Vision One Centuri strategy and achieve our growth goals to the benefit of all our stakeholders.”
Wilcock, meanwhile, exits after 11 years with the company, having become chief legal and administrative officer in 2023. He initially joined as assistant GC from Southwest Gas Corporation, where he was an associate GC.
Brown said: “We thank Greg and Jason for their contributions to Centuri and wish them all the best in the future.”
In other energy-related moves, back in June oil giant Chevron lined up former Texas solicitor general Scott Keller as GC to replace outgoing CLO R. Hewitt Pate at the start of next year, while in May, Germany energy business Uniper promoted Tina Hinz to GC, replacing Marc Merrill in the role.
