Cooley expands in London to launch patent practice

Cooley, the California-based practice that opened in London with 50 lawyers in January, has added a patent team from Mintz Levin.

Cooley, adviser to Amazon, already has a strong trademark and competition team. The three lawyers joining are David Wraige, Jacqueline Ireland and Daniel Sellwood. They follow in the footsteps of two former Mintz Levin partners and their teams who switched to Cooley last year, including Ivor Elrifi who had co-chaired the Mintz Levin IP practice.

Google and Facebook

Cooley's other clients include Bluetooth, eBay, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn and Tesla Motors. It has 850 lawyers spread across 12 offices in the US, China and Europe.  Source: Cooley
