The Secretary of Justice has hinted that he may step down from his position in the UK government if voters decide to back Vote Remain in tomorrow's referendum.

In an interview on Tuesday morning, Mr Gove told radio programme Today that he would ‘reflect’ on his position in David Cameron’s Cabinet if the British public votes to stay within the European Union, fueling speculation that he may resign in the aftermath of tomorrow’s vote. ‘I will reflect and I will decide what is the best course for me,’ said a cryptic Mr Gove, who alongside former London mayor Boris Johnson has been one of the most prominent public figureheads of the Vote Leave campaign. Calling on the public to vote based on issues like immigration and the economy, rather than the fates of individual politicians, Mr Gove also rejected the suggestion that he could end up deposing Prime Minister David Cameron if the referendum goes the way of Vote Leave: ‘The premise of your question that I’m going to be running anything other than the Ministry of Justice on Friday is wrong,’ he told interviewers.
