Historic attitudes favouring globalisation are fundamentally changing....
A key player in negotiations for CMS' lucrative merger with Dundas & Wilson in 2014, Mr Millar had long been flagged as a potential successor to Duncan Weston, who will shift into the role of executive partner for global development after eight years at the helm. Alongside senior partner, head of the board and head of energy Penelope Warne, Mr Millar will be tasked with steering the firm's strategic direction after its current three-year plan, engineered by Mr Weston, comes to an end this year. 'Maintaining momentum for growth will be my priority – both in the UK and internationally. I am excited by the prospect,' commented Mr Millar. His term will commence in May and stretch until the next election in 2020. Sources: Legal Business; Legal Week
