The research plan, which will reach out to law firms asking them to relay information on the experiences of their clients, follows a claim last week by Lauren Stevens - former vice president and general counsel of GlaxoSmithKline – that in-house lawyers had a ‘target on their back’.
Ms Stevens was accused of making false statements to the Food and Drug Administration, only to be acquitted by a judge who said she ‘never should have been prosecuted’.

The ACC’s chief legal strategist, Amar Sarwal, said at the association's annual convention in Orlando earlier his week: ‘The government, regulators, perhaps even opposing counsel, have a target on your back.’
