Only 33 per cent will exceed the Consumer Price Index, down 15 per cent  on 2013. Meanwhile, 40 per cent  will match the Index rise, 22 per cent  plan a partial wage freeze and 4.5 per cent are heading for a full wage freeze. Anthony Bleasdale, president of the ALPMA (Australasian Legal Practice Management Association) said that firms are being ‘prudent’. He added: ‘Salaries make up a significant portion of overhead costs, and firms are ... endeavouring to do more with the same or less resources.’ Source: Lawyers Weekly
