Simon Davies leaves Lloyds admidst management restructure

The shake-up comes following the government's sale of the remainder of its shareholding in Lloyds after a £20bn bailout during the financial crisis.

Former Linklaters managing partner Simon Davies is to depart from Lloyds Banking Group as the bank announces a raft of changes around the bank's management team. Mr Davies, who has responsibility for the legal, strategy and people teams at Lloyds as well as Lloyds development Capital, will be replaced by chief financial officer George Culmer. A statement from Lloyds said: 'Simon Davies, chief people, legal and strategy officer, who recently took a leave of absence from the group as his wife is unwell, has decided to leave the organisation.' Group general counsel Kate Cheetham  has been appointed to the bank’s group executive committee whilst the bank’s executive director Juan Colombas take on a new role of chief operating officer.
